Fall '25 WEPO Portfolio

The third and final project of this semester was a culmination of all we had studied thus far. Throughout the semester, we had been assigned readings pertaining to the central themes of our projects, all of which we annotated and drew key terms from in class. For this project, we created a schema to function as a visual representation of the key terms we discussed, their relationships to each other, and how each fundamental concept built on others.

The Magazine Spread was the second of the three major assignments. We were given a lot of free rein with this assignment, having the opportunity to write about virtually whatever we wanted as long as we followed correct AP style and chose a valid genre of writing to include. This assignment was also a learning curve in figuring out how to navigate Adobe InDesign.

The Fairytale Re-Telling assignment was the first of our three major projects this semester. We were instructed to choose any fairytale and reframe it from a new perspective, using ChatGPT to conduct an interview with our characters of choice and write it as a report in AP style. I chose to interview Anastasia and Drizella Tremaine, Cinderella's evil stepsisters, with a specific intent to investigate family dynamics and their lives after Cinderella's happily ever after.
